Buyer (Manufacturing)

Location: Treviso, Italy. Relocation is not available. Travel up to 10% of the time is required.

Salary: €44,800–€61,600 per year

What you will do

• Ensure continuity of supply while meeting quality, delivery, and cost objectives.
• Manage purchase orders, supplier deliveries, receiving and invoicing issues, and purchasing process compliance.
• Drive supplier performance, demand and supply planning, and pull-in or push-out activities.
• Optimize inventory, including reducing excess and obsolete inventory.
• Lead RFQ activities, execute sourcing strategies, and support commercial supplier negotiations.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Planning, Manufacturing, Supplier Quality, and Program Management to resolve supply chain risks.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree.
• 5+ years of experience in purchasing, supply chain, procurement, or supplier management.
• Experience managing suppliers in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong negotiation, supplier management, relationship-building, communication, and planning skills.
• Ability to participate in work-related discussions and explain opinions in English using simple terms.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate across functions.

Nice to have

• Experience supporting New Product Introduction programs.
• Knowledge of build-to-print components, CNC-machined and fabricated parts, mechanical assemblies, and precision manufacturing processes.
• Experience sourcing electromechanical products such as controllers, robots, sensors, actuators, and electronic assemblies.
• SAP and ERP procurement systems experience.
