Senior Backend Developer (Java)

Location: Buenos Aires, Argentina; hybrid schedule with one day onsite and four days remote per week.

What you will do

• Develop, test, and maintain microservices for a global platform serving millions of users and connected devices.
• Own software solutions from development through production operation within an agile DevOps environment.
• Modernize legacy systems and develop new features across the technology stack.
• Operate, maintain, troubleshoot, and continuously improve long-lived production applications.
• Collaborate with senior engineers and mentor or provide technical guidance to less experienced developers.

Requirements

• More than 5 years of backend software engineering experience in production environments.
• Strong professional experience with Java, Spring Boot, Node.js, Next.js, MongoDB, and/or MySQL.
• Knowledge of microservices architecture, service development, testing, and integration patterns.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, container technologies, and automated testing.
• Experience owning, operating, maintaining, troubleshooting, and modernizing production systems.
• Fluent English is required.

Nice to have

• Experience using AI development tools to accelerate delivery while maintaining code quality, security, and maintainability.
