TL;DR
Associate Quality Engineer (Aerospace): Planning and executing quality processes for complex military aircraft hardware with an accent on manufacturing quality, inspection, traceability, and customer requirements. Location: Onsite in Buffalo, NY, with the role also described as onsite at the East Aurora, NY location

Salary: $70,000–$90,000 annually

What you will do

  • Plan and execute cost-effective quality processes that meet contractual, customer, and government requirements.
  • Support Government DCMA and customer programs, audits, requirements, and technical interfaces.
  • Review work instructions, test and assembly documentation, and basic engineering analyses.
  • Support build, test, inspection, troubleshooting, production, and manufacturing quality activities.
  • Facilitate failure analysis, root-cause and corrective-action investigations, risk mitigation, material review, configuration control, and traceability.
  • Develop quality plans and work with customers, suppliers, technicians, and cross-functional teams to resolve complex issues and reduce inspection and failure-related costs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree with 1–2+ years of applicable experience, including co-ops, internships, technical project work, or hands-on engineering exposure; or an associate’s degree in a technical or quality discipline with approximately 2–3 years of relevant experience.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings and apply basic GD&T and manufacturing or process fundamentals.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple assignments and programs with limited supervision.
  • Ability to access U.S. export-controlled information is required.
