Senior Software Quality Assurance Engineer (QA Automation)

Salary: $105,000–$130,000 per year

What you will do

• Lead QA activities across product and project teams, aligning delivery with QA best practices and continuous improvement standards.
• Design, build, maintain, and execute automation frameworks across multiple application platforms.
• Create functional, smoke, regression, performance, security, API, messaging, database, file-handling, and XML validation tests.
• Integrate automated testing with CI/CD and build tools, and track and report test execution, defects, risks, and quality metrics.
• Collaborate with Product Owners, Business Analysts, customers, IT, and operations teams on testability, acceptance criteria, and user acceptance testing.
• Mentor QA team members and developers on automation practices, performance testing, and technical implementation.

Requirements

• 10 years of IT experience, including software QA, testing tools, methodologies, full software lifecycle, and public product releases.
• 5 years of formal software test automation experience with Windows and client-server applications.
• 5 years of Agile development experience.
• Programming experience with Java, C#, JavaScript, Python, or another modern object-oriented language.
• Experience with Git, Maven, Kubernetes, CI/CD tools such as GitLab and Jenkins, Agile tools such as JIRA, and frameworks such as Selenium WebDriver, TestNG, or JUnit.
• Experience with quality strategies, defect management, performance testing, ISO 25010/ISO 9001 standards, and regulated healthcare or life sciences environments aligned with GxP or FDA requirements.

Nice to have

• Experience with Salesforce automation or development.
• Experience with commercial off-the-shelf software and relational database validation.
• Experience with service virtualization or mocking tools such as WireMock, Postman, or SoapUI.
• A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, mathematics, or a related technical field; equivalent experience or education may substitute.
