Staff Product Manager (Quantum Computing)

Location: Based at the Bothell, Washington office with the option to work remotely a few days per week. Travel is required as needed. Access to export-controlled technology may require U.S. Person status, a license, or a license exception.

Salary: $170,304–$198,688 approximate annual base salary, plus bonus, equity, and benefits.

What you will do

• Own product management for a next-generation quantum hardware program from early definition through launch.
• Assess customer needs and prepare future customers for new system capabilities through early-access programs, demonstrations, and milestones.
• Partner with engineering program leads on system design targets, requirements, priorities, and day-to-day tradeoffs.
• Define product vision, value proposition, roadmap, positioning, and go-to-market strategy across internal, cloud, and on-premises markets.
• Coordinate cross-functional delivery with Product, Engineering, R&D, Sales, Marketing, Customer Success, customers, and external partners.
• Use customer, scientific, and product feedback to improve current offerings and inform the design of future hardware generations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Physics, Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, Electrical Engineering, a related engineering field, or equivalent experience.
• 8+ years of experience in technical product management or equivalent roles.
• Experience with hardware-software co-development or scientific instrumentation.
• Direct experience with Quantum Computing, Quantum Information Science, and/or AMO Physics.
• Experience building a new market or commercializing technology for the first time.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical topics to varied audiences.

Nice to have

• Advanced degree in Physics, Quantum Information Science, Chemistry, Applied Mathematics, or a related engineering field.
• Publications or established research-community relationships in QIS, AMO physics, or adjacent fields.
• Experience productizing research-grade technologies and working with scientific computing or high-performance computing.
