Senior Software Engineer (AI)

Location: San Francisco, hybrid, with a balance of in-office and remote work.

Salary: $195,000–$230,000 per year plus equity.

What you will do

• Own product features end to end, from defining problems and building solutions to deployment, measurement, and iteration.
• Build and ship user-facing experiences across frontend and backend systems.
• Partner with Product and Design to turn ambiguous member problems into effective solutions.
• Use AI-powered development tools, code generation, copilots, and agent workflows to improve development speed and code quality.
• Identify and implement AI capabilities that improve the member experience.
• Make system design tradeoffs involving speed, scalability, maintainability, automation, and developer workflows.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience building and shipping production software in a product-focused environment.
• Strong fullstack engineering skills with Python, Django, React, or similar modern frameworks.
• Experience owning features or systems end to end and delivering measurable user impact.
• Hands-on experience using AI developer tools, copilots, code agents, or custom workflows in production development.
• Ability to turn loosely defined member problems into shipped solutions and make practical scope and UX tradeoffs.
• Clear communication and collaboration skills across technical and non-technical partners.
