What you will do

• Design electrical power distribution systems, UPS units, standby and emergency generators, and automatic transfer switches.
• Prepare detailed electrical design packages through permit level in Revit.
• Support the design, operation, and troubleshooting of facility electrical systems and components.
• Perform load-flow analysis, equipment evaluation, grounding design, and data and power monitoring integration.
• Conduct root-cause analysis of electrical issues and perform code reviews against NFPA and IBC requirements.
• Coordinate electrical designs and facility power budgets with mechanical, structural, architectural, and nuclear engineers.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or a similar discipline.
• 8+ years of industry experience.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
• 5+ years of professional experience with electrical design projects, power distribution systems, switchgear, UPS units, and/or generators.
• Knowledge of NFPA 70E, NFPA 70 NEC, NFPA 497, NFPA 101, and IBC.
• Ability to work extended hours and weekends when necessary.

Nice to have

• Industrial-level power distribution experience.
• Data center electrical or power systems experience.
• MEP or professional consulting experience.
• Experience with local and state compliance.
• Experience in fast-paced, highly technical, or entrepreneurial engineering environments.
