Electrical Engineer II (Critical Power)

Location: On-site in Monroe Township, New Jersey, USA. Some travel to US sites is required.

Salary: $75,000–$100,000 USD per year, plus performance-based bonuses.

What you will do

• Perform electrical load calculations and develop power distribution designs for commercial, infrastructure, and data center projects.
• Prepare drawings, specifications, technical reports, one-line diagrams, and coordinated design models for UPS systems, emergency and standby generators, and low-voltage switchgear.
• Conduct short-circuit, selective coordination, and arc-flash hazard studies using SKM, ETAP, or equivalent software.
• Design standby and emergency power systems, including generator and paralleling configurations.
• Perform field surveys and site assessments, and support construction administration through submittal reviews, RFIs, site visits, and contractor coordination.
• Collaborate with clients, internal teams, contractors, and other stakeholders to deliver reliable, cost-effective, code-compliant solutions.

Requirements

• 1–5 years of electrical engineering experience.
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Proficiency in electrical load calculations, AutoCAD, and Revit.
• Proficiency with SKM, ETAP, or equivalent power system analysis software.
• Experience developing specifications for UPS systems, emergency and standby generators, low-voltage switchgear, and paralleling generator systems.
• Experience with field surveys, construction administration, data center infrastructure, and short-circuit, selective coordination, and arc-flash studies.
