Engineering Manager (Silicon Photonics)

What you will do

• Lead, mentor, and grow a team of process and manufacturing engineers.
• Define, validate, deploy, and sustain manufacturing processes for 800G and 1.6T optical transceivers.
• Drive improvements in yield, throughput, efficiency, scrap, quality, and manufacturing automation.
• Own process documentation, change control, and compliance with quality management system requirements.
• Partner with design engineering, contract manufacturers, suppliers, and quality teams on design for manufacturing, qualification testing, and process execution.
• Lead equipment selection and capital planning, from supplier buy-off through manufacturing release.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical, industrial, or mechanical engineering, physics, or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience in high-volume optical transceiver and/or laser manufacturing, including 2–3 years in people management or team leadership.
• Hands-on expertise in optical assembly processes such as wire bonding, die bonding, active optical alignment, product testing, or burn-in.
• Experience with data analysis, statistical process control, statistical tools, optics failure analysis, and quality management systems.
• Proven ability to lead engineering teams in geographically diverse, cross-functional organizations.
• Strong written and verbal English is required for communication with English-speaking stakeholders.
