Lead Technician (Quantum Hardware)

Location: On-site in Singapore; must be eligible to work in Singapore. Willingness to travel to Denver, Colorado for training is preferred.

Base salary: Competitive monthly salary in SGD, depending on experience and qualifications, plus equity and performance bonus.

What you will do

• Supervise and schedule technicians across assembly, testing, and shipping while setting daily production priorities.
• Train, onboard, and certify technicians on critical build and test procedures.
• Assemble dilution refrigerator subsystems, including cryostat plates, radiation shields, wiring, thermal links, and gas-handling hardware.
• Run cooldowns and acceptance tests, monitor thermometry and pressure data, and maintain accurate records.
• Pump down high-vacuum systems, perform helium leak detection, troubleshoot failures, and complete rework and repairs.
• Transfer processes from the Denver engineering and manufacturing teams, improve work instructions, and maintain production quality records.

Requirements

• Diploma, Higher Nitec, or equivalent qualification in mechanical, mechatronics, electrical, or a related engineering field.
• At least 5 years of hands-on experience assembling, testing, or maintaining complex electromechanical, vacuum, or scientific equipment.
• At least 2 years of experience leading or supervising a team of technicians.
• Hands-on experience with high-vacuum systems, helium leak detection, and safe handling of cryogens such as liquid nitrogen or liquid helium.
• Ability to read mechanical drawings, schematics, and wiring diagrams and use precision tools and measuring equipment.
• Strong written and verbal English communication skills; eligible to work on-site in Singapore.

Nice to have

• Experience with dilution refrigerators, cryostats, or other cryogenic systems.
• Manufacturing experience in semiconductors, aerospace, medical devices, or scientific instrumentation.
• Experience with brazing, soldering, fine wiring, cleanroom assembly, or starting a new production line or facility.
• Experience in a high-growth, venture-backed startup.
• Willingness to travel to Denver, Colorado for training.
