Supplier Development & Sourcing Specialist (Chemicals)

Location: Rock Hill, South Carolina, United States; professional office environment with extended periods of sitting, standing, typing, and computer use.

What you will do

• Develop and implement procurement strategies for raw materials, resale products, and services.
• Research markets, identify suppliers, and evaluate their capabilities and offerings.
• Negotiate supplier contracts, pricing, and commercial agreements.
• Prepare purchase orders and review MRP messages and ERP reports to support production material availability.
• Monitor supplier performance, maintain supplier relationships, and resolve delivery, shortage, invoicing, and quality issues.
• Develop alternate supply sources and support inventory optimization, cost reduction, and continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• At least 2 years of related experience.
• Experience with chemicals.
• Experience with SAP.
• Applicants may need to be U.S. persons for positions involving controlled goods or technologies under ITAR or EAR.
