Procurement Specialist

What you will do

• Manage end-to-end procurement activities, including sourcing, purchase orders, and supplier performance monitoring.
• Negotiate supplier pricing, delivery schedules, and contract terms while balancing cost, quality, and on-time delivery.
• Analyze demand requirements and coordinate with planning and operations to maintain material availability.
• Resolve shortages, quality concerns, delivery delays, and other complex vendor issues.
• Identify cost-reduction opportunities through negotiations, alternate sourcing, and process improvements.
• Support supplier qualification, development, continuous improvement, and cross-functional initiatives with engineering, quality, manufacturing, and supply chain.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Typically more than four years of procurement, purchasing, or supply chain experience.
• Experience negotiating supplier agreements and managing supplier relationships.
• Strong negotiation, supplier management, communication, analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Working knowledge of ERP/MRP systems and procurement processes.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and support production-critical supply requirements.

Nice to have

• Professional certification such as CPSM, CPM, APICS CPIM, APICS CSCP, or equivalent.
• Experience providing guidance or mentorship to junior procurement staff.
