What you will do

  • Handle daily procurement operations including purchasing, vendor return processing, inventory requirements, and reporting.
  • Buy raw materials, maintenance materials, MRO, safety, office supplies, and inventoried items.
  • Review minimum/maximum levels and adjust to maintain optimal stocking levels.
  • Enter purchase orders in the ERP system, verify received items against orders, and track orders for on-time delivery.
  • Negotiate vendor terms and conditions as needed and address vendor quality issues, complaints, and raw material shortages.
  • Research and evaluate potential vendors, maintain purchase/invoice records, and issue project status reports.

Requirements

  • Experience with Microsoft Office, with advanced Excel skills preferred.
  • Experience using an ERP system (SAP/Point Man/Syteline preferred).
  • Ability to understand and execute verbal instructions while managing multiple tasks.
  • Analytical skills for working with financial reports and conducting cost analysis.
  • Knowledge of supply chain procedures and vendor sourcing practices (research and evaluation).
  • Must be able to work with shop floor personnel in a plant/manufacturing environment (previous plant location manufacturing experience preferred).
