Senior Platform Engineer (Robotics)

hirify.global is a Series A robotics startup developing autonomous heavy construction machines using physical AI, learning-based automation, and augmented remote control.

What you will do

• Shape build, deployment, and CI/CD roadmaps for faster and safer field releases.
• Own image building and release processes for embedded Linux systems.
• Implement secure over-the-air updates and safe rollback mechanisms for a fleet of robots.
• Build Infrastructure-as-Code frameworks to provision development, test, and production environments.
• Collaborate with Platform, Autonomy, Perception, and Interface engineers to create reliable development environments.
• Set standards for how software is built and shipped.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• 7+ years of experience in software engineering, platform engineering, or DevOps, including ownership of systems used by other engineers.
• Strong software engineering skills and experience with enterprise build and deployment systems.
• Hands-on experience building image infrastructure for embedded Linux systems is required.
• Experience building CI pipelines for build, test, and machine learning workloads.
• Experience with IoT device management, telemetry, secure OTA updates, Infrastructure as Code, Ansible, or Terraform; English proficiency is required.

Nice to have

• Experience with Nix, NixOS, or Nixpkgs.
• Experience with robotics and DevOps tooling such as Foxglove.
