Software Engineer (AI Agent)

What you will do

• Design and implement Python backend services using a three-layer architecture of main agents, skills, and search APIs.
• Own the development lifecycle of formulation agents, including structured extraction from patents and literature, mechanistic reasoning, and functional blueprint generation.
• Build modular skills and agentic search tools for complex scientific queries.
• Improve agent reliability by addressing out-of-distribution issues, reducing hallucinations, and applying expert knowledge engineering.
• Collaborate with materials and formulation experts, frontend engineers, and product managers on product roadmaps.
• Diagnose agent reasoning and data-pipeline issues, implementing long-term fixes to prevent AI performance regressions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong understanding of AI orchestration frameworks such as LangChain, LangGraph, or CrewAI, and LLM API integration.
• Proficiency in Python and the ability to independently lead AI-focused projects from concept to deployment.
• Basic proficiency in Vue.js or another modern frontend framework for full-stack collaboration and UI-to-agent state management.
• Familiarity with CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes, and SQL or NoSQL databases.
• Strong communication and multidisciplinary collaboration skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with the Model Context Protocol and modular skill tools for AI agents.
• Familiarity with agentic search, context engineering, and related agent technologies.
• Experience with vibe coding tools such as Claude Code.
