Senior AI Engineer (Applied)

Location: Singapore office; occasional travel of up to one trip per year.

What you will do

• Design and execute evaluation and benchmarking frameworks for text, vision, and generative AI systems.
• Define metrics, thresholds, and failure analysis across quality, latency, reliability, and cost.
• Architect scalable, observable AI services, evaluation tools, benchmarking services, and reusable microservices.
• Build GenAI systems, including RAG pipelines and agentic workflows, and integrate them into product architectures.
• Partner with product managers to assess AI features, success criteria, feasibility, and technical trade-offs.
• Explore emerging AI tools, recommend build-versus-partner approaches, and mentor junior engineers and interns.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in Applied AI, Machine Learning Engineering, or AI Systems Engineering.
• Strong foundation in machine learning evaluation, experimentation, and statistical reasoning.
• Hands-on experience with NLP, computer vision, or generative AI systems in real-world applications.
• Strong Python programming and software engineering fundamentals, including API design, modular codebases, and testing.
• Experience building backend services for AI systems with FastAPI, NodeJS, or similar technologies.
• Experience deploying AI workloads on AWS, GCP, or Azure, with familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes.
