Location: Onsite in Novi, Michigan, with a transition to Charlotte, North Carolina; 4–5 days per week in the office. Regular in-person meetings, supplier and tool shop visits, assembly plant launch support, and international travel are required. A passport is required.
Salary: $140,000–$170,000 annual base salary, plus eligibility for an annual performance bonus.

is developing electrified, digitally enabled pickup trucks and rugged SUVs based on the Scout automotive brand.
What you will do
- Manage the team responsible for design and production release of lighting, glazing, wipe/wash systems, and outside mirrors.
- Lead concept-to-production development, including vehicle connection points, packaging, CAD models, prototypes, testing, and validation.
- Lead RFQ packages, technical reviews, supplier selection, and collaboration with suppliers and internal functions.
- Develop and maintain product specifications, test plans, DVP&R, DFMEA, control plans, interface control documents, and quality requirements.
- Manage resources and ensure program targets for piece cost, ED&D budget, timing, weight, and quality are achieved.
- Lead issue resolution, design reviews, prototype and pre-production evaluations, and field testing while applying automotive design best practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or a related field.
- 10+ years of experience in body electrical and mechanical systems and automotive product development across design, test, and launch.
- Experience using CATIA to design and develop detailed parts.
- Strong expertise in lighting components and systems, CAE familiarity or direct experience, and a first-principles approach to problem solving.
- Strong communication, organization, prioritization, collaboration, mentoring, and leadership skills.
- Ability to work onsite 4–5 days per week in Novi, Michigan, with a transition to Charlotte, North Carolina, and support international travel.
Nice to have
- Experience working on electric vehicle programs.
- Experience with Class-A surface development.
- Comfort working in ambiguous, fast-paced environments.
