TL;DR
Senior DevOps Engineer (AWS, GCP, AI): Building and operating the end-to-end cloud platform for a high-throughput AI-powered business messaging service with an accent on infrastructure automation, reliability, security, and cost management. Focus on developing internal tooling, troubleshooting databases and distributed infrastructure, implementing DevSecOps controls, and building AI automations for platform operations.
Location: Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia; flexible working environment and hours available wherever based.

What you will do
- Own and evolve cloud infrastructure, CI/CD, reliability, security, and cost management for a high-throughput messaging platform.
- Provision infrastructure in collaboration with backend engineering teams.
- Troubleshoot production issues across databases, search clusters, containers, serverless services, and messaging queues.
- Develop internal tooling and automations with Node.js or Python to improve platform operations and the software delivery lifecycle.
- Implement SLOs and SLIs, improve reliability, and design highly available and scalable solutions.
- Apply DevSecOps practices, including backup, disaster recovery, WAF, Network Firewall, rate limiting, DDoS protection, and network security controls.
Requirements
- 5+ years of combined software development and DevOps or platform engineering experience.
- Production coding experience in a modern programming language, preferably Node.js or Python.
- Hands-on experience with AWS and GCP, Infrastructure-as-Code, CI/CD pipelines, and monitoring.
- Experience with infrastructure troubleshooting at scale, including RDS, OpenSearch, ECS, Lambda, SQS, containers, and serverless systems.
- Experience implementing DevSecOps practices and highly available, scalable solutions.
- Good English communication skills and the ability to explain complex ideas clearly in writing and verbally.
