DevOps Engineer (AWS)

Location: Hybrid in Almere, Netherlands, with 2 days per week in the office

What you will do

• Design, build, and maintain a modern AWS-based cloud platform for an EdTech project.
• Create and manage Infrastructure as Code using AWS CDK with Python.
• Build and continuously improve CI/CD pipelines using AWS-native and Git-based tools.
• Develop self-service tools, platform automation, and observability across monitoring, logging, and tracing.
• Apply DevSecOps practices, improve platform security and compliance, and manage cloud costs.
• Own reliability and performance while supporting the migration from on-premises infrastructure to AWS.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in DevOps, cloud engineering, or platform engineering.
• Strong hands-on experience with AWS and Infrastructure as Code using AWS CDK or CloudFormation.
• Experience designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
• Good working knowledge of Linux and containerized environments, including ECS Fargate.
• Familiarity with CloudWatch, Datadog, cloud security, IAM, Zero Trust, and compliance.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Nice to have

• AWS Solutions Architect or DevOps Engineer certification.
• Experience with hybrid on-premises and cloud setups.
• Experience with AWS cost optimization or internal developer platforms.
