Senior Software Engineer, Agentic AI Platform

Salary: $160,000–$219,000 USD base pay annually

What you will do

• Architect and build systems, tools, frameworks, runtimes, and pipelines for creating, deploying, and operating agentic AI applications.
• Develop evaluations, grounding mechanisms, and feedback loops to improve agent accuracy, reduce hallucinations, and track production overrides.
• Optimize platform latency, throughput, scalability, and inference costs.
• Implement permissions, guardrails, human approval and escalation paths, auditability, and rollback capabilities.
• Collaborate with data scientists and product owners to define requirements and develop long-term platform capabilities.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute across the full software engineering lifecycle.

Requirements

• Advanced degree in computer science, mathematics, or a related field.
• Strong software architecture and design skills, including experience designing scalable, reliable, and maintainable systems.
• Knowledge of data structures, algorithms, profiling and optimization, object-oriented programming, and functional programming.
• Strong programming skills in Java, Python, and JavaScript.
• High proficiency with agentic coding tools and multi-agent engineering workflows, including reviewing output for bugs, security issues, and architectural drift.
• In-depth knowledge of machine learning algorithms, production experience applying AI or machine learning, end-to-end project ownership, and at least 5 years of work experience in a fast-paced software company.
