Senior Software Engineer - Agentic AI Engineer (AI)

Location: Hybrid role based in Dallas, Atlanta, Chicago, or Nashville, United States

Salary: $73,150–$174,000 base compensation annually

What you will do

• Develop intelligent agents with Vertex AI Agent Builder to automate complex business workflows.
• Build and manage multi-agent systems with the Agent Developer Kit.
• Connect agents securely to enterprise databases, including BigQuery and Spanner, using tools such as the Model Context Protocol Toolbox.
• Train, tune, evaluate, and deploy models with Vertex AI, including feature engineering with BigQuery.
• Build and optimize streaming data pipelines with Dataflow and implement real-time inference through RunInference API or Vertex AI endpoints.
• Ground models in current business context using vector engines in BigQuery or AlloyDB.

Requirements

• Senior-level experience with 10+ years of related skills.
• Experience with Model Garden, Vertex AI Pipelines, and model evaluation.
• Advanced SQL skills for BigQuery and strong Python expertise for ML engineering.
• Experience with data preprocessing techniques, including scaling, encoding, and imputation.
• Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Storage and Vertex AI endpoints.
• Familiarity with stateful real-time processing and current agentic architecture innovations.
