Agentic AI Systems Engineer

Location: Santa Clara, CA, United States. Relocation eligible; travel required for approximately 10% of the time.

Salary: $152,000–$208,500 per year, with potential bonus and stock awards.

What you will do

• Architect and implement an agent runtime and orchestration platform for AI-assisted development workflows.
• Build a skill-pack framework supporting authoring, versioning, distribution, and runtime loading across Java, Python, C++, and web codebases.
• Design multi-agent execution with persistent agents, swarm coordination, and cross-agent context sharing.
• Develop semantic code search, dependency-aware context modeling, and structural codebase analysis.
• Build MCP-based context infrastructure integrating code, documentation, and developer lifecycle tools.
• Establish secure tool access, evaluation frameworks, observability, logging, metrics, and tracing for agent behavior.

Requirements

• 7+ years of relevant industry experience.
• Experience designing agent runtimes or orchestration layers and end-to-end architectures for agents, tools, memory, governance, and observability.
• Strong system design experience with reliable, observable, developer-facing services.
• Strong proficiency in at least one of Java, Python, or C++, including AI/ML model integration into developer workflows.
• Experience building and operating developer tooling or platform infrastructure such as SDKs, CLIs, APIs, or runtimes at scale.
• Must work from the Santa Clara, California location.

Nice to have

• Experience with multi-agent workflows and planner/critic loops.
• Exposure to on-premises LLM deployment and optimization.
• Knowledge of RAG and vector search systems.
• Background in security-first or high-reliability software environments.
