Civil Engineering Lead (Data Center)

Location: On-site in Austin, TX; New York, NY; San Francisco, CA; or Seattle, WA

Salary: $161,000 – $197,000

What you will do

• Own the civil engineering workstream across a multi-site, multi-state development portfolio.
• Lead civil due diligence for greenfield and conversion sites, including topography, drainage, and environmental constraints.
• Direct geotechnical investigations, including scoping RFPs and interpreting reports.
• Review traffic studies and offsite infrastructure requirements to mitigate cost and schedule risks.
• Develop and maintain civil basis of design, standard details, and specifications.
• Coordinate with local authorities, general contractors, and external consultants as the site civil authority.

Requirements

• Proven experience owning civil engineering on large-scale site development, ideally from an owner/developer perspective.
• Strong ability to manage civil due diligence and interpret geotech reports to identify fatal flaws.
• Experience managing external civil consultants and ensuring deliverables meet IFC standards.
• Deep knowledge of grading, drainage, stormwater, utilities, and earthwork for large-format sites.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States.
• Must be able to work on-site in one of the specified office locations.

Nice to have

• PE license or active pursuit.
• Experience with data center, industrial, or large-site development.
• Proficiency in Civil 3D.
• Experience with multi-state permitting and conversion/retrofit sites.
