Civil Engineer

Location: Hybrid work from the Merritt Island, Florida or Gulfport, Mississippi offices; remote work may be considered for more experienced candidates who are not local. Travel up to 25% is required.

Salary: $125,000–$135,000 per year, plus performance-based bonuses.

What you will do

• Develop civil site designs, construction drawings, specifications, calculations, reports, permit applications, cost estimates, and material take-offs.
• Design stormwater collection, conveyance, and treatment systems, potable and fire-water utilities, sanitary sewer systems, natural gas systems, roadways, pavements, and site improvements.
• Perform site visits, review existing conditions and documentation, and support facility condition assessments and capital asset management planning.
• Coordinate geotechnical investigations, utility locating, topographic surveys, and hazardous-material sampling with specialty subcontractors.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineers, customers, contractors, and project teams to deliver compliant work within schedule and budget.
• Provide construction management and construction support for ongoing projects, including field investigations at active facilities and sites.

Requirements

• BS degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
• Professional Engineer (PE) certification.
• At least five years of engineering design experience.
• Experience with civil engineering design areas such as stormwater, utilities, pavement, sitework, environmental assessments, or construction management.
• Experience with WaterCAD, SewerCAD, ICPR, AutoCAD, Civil3D, or equivalent software; proficiency with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and email applications.
• Must be a U.S. citizen for security-clearance requirements and able to obtain a federal security clearance. A valid, unrestricted driver's license is also required.

Nice to have

• Shoreline or marine engineering experience.
• Additional construction management experience.
