Civil Engineer (Data Centers)

Location: On-site in Austin, TX; New York, NY; San Francisco, CA; or Seattle, WA

Salary: $164,000 – $230,000

What you will do

• Lead civil engineering workstreams for a multi-site development portfolio from screening through construction.
• Conduct civil due diligence, including topography, drainage, utilities, and environmental constraints.
• Develop grading strategies, earthwork balance, and cut/fill sequences for large campus developments.
• Manage external civil consultants and coordinate scope with structural, MEP, and architectural teams.
• Lead civil permitting strategy across jurisdictions, including NPDES/SWPPP and floodplain management.

Requirements

• Must be based in the US and able to work on-site in the specified locations.
• Proven experience owning civil engineering for large-scale site development (data centers, industrial, or power infrastructure).
• Expertise in grading, earthwork, stormwater, and site utility design.
• Strong knowledge of FEMA/CLOMR/LOMR permitting and NPDES requirements.
• Experience directing external consultants and managing design deliverables through IFC.

Nice to have

• PE license.
• Experience with hyperscale or energy infrastructure development.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and GIS.
• Experience with challenging soil conditions (expansive clay, karst, or high water table).
