What you will do

• Lead the development, optimization, and qualification of metallic materials for Natrium reactor core assembly components.
• Oversee material performance models, qualification datasets, testing programs, and analysis activities.
• Manage the Core Materials Qualification team and deliver work within schedule and cost constraints.
• Support procurement and supplier technical development for engineered components and systems.
• Coordinate with fuel development, fuel fabrication, and core design groups on reactor fuel technologies.
• Support licensing, regulatory interfaces, quality assurance, project scheduling, budgeting, and engineering reporting.

Requirements

• 8+ years of related nuclear experience and a relevant engineering degree, or equivalent education and experience.
• At least 2 years of supervisory, mentoring, or equivalent people-leadership experience.
• Strong knowledge of metallurgy, including fabrication and thermomechanical processing of ferrous and nonferrous alloys.
• Advanced knowledge of nuclear quality programs, design control, and configuration management.
• Experience with stringent quality systems such as ISO 9001 or AS9100; experience with ASME NQA-1 and 10 CFR 50 Appendix B is highly desirable.
• Ability to plan, budget, execute, and communicate testing or modeling activities while enforcing rigorous technical and safety processes.

Nice to have

• Understanding of reactor plant and related system design.
• Experience with sodium-cooled fast reactors.
