Location: Kearny, New Jersey, United States; on-site
Salary: $215,000–$250,000 per year

is developing fusion energy systems based on computer-controlled arrays of planar coils for stellarator architectures.
What you will do
- Own the strategy, roadmap, and execution of the HTS magnet engineering program for the Eos and Helios stellarator systems.
- Lead and scale a multi-level organization of engineering managers, engineers, and analysts.
- Define magnet specifications and technical requirements from system-level performance goals.
- Provide technical oversight of multiphysics analyses, design tooling, and data infrastructure.
- Drive design-for-manufacturing, scalable production, vendor relationships, tooling investments, and magnet testing.
- Track program progress, risks, budget, and milestones while representing magnet engineering to executives, investors, partners, and the fusion community.
Requirements
- 10+ years of engineering experience with magnets, cryogenics, vacuum systems, or transformer design, including significant engineering leadership experience.
- Experience managing engineering managers and multidisciplinary technical teams.
- Technical fluency in CAD tools such as Solidworks, CATIA, or NX and multiphysics tools such as Ansys or COMSOL.
- Experience with vendors and supply chains for custom hardware, including machining, welding, and fabrication.
- Bachelor’s degree in physics, computer science, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, materials engineering, or a related field; an advanced degree is preferred.
- Ability to work on-site in a facility with industrial hazards, including strong magnets, high voltage, high current, pressure systems, and cryogenics.

- Experience with magnetic confinement fusion, aerospace, medical devices, or other highly technical regulated industries.
