TL;DR

Annual salary: $105,000–$135,000 USD

What you will do

  • Develop qualification test equipment and test plans for new electrical hardware in collaboration with electrical design engineers.
  • Own test-bed design and build, including electrical schematics, component selection, PCBA layout, and hardware assembly.
  • Integrate test beds with thermal, vibration, shock, humidity, and salt-fog equipment, and support qualification testing.
  • Build acceptance-test solutions for production that improve reliability, lead time, and labor efficiency.
  • Develop software to operate test beds and simplify qualification and production test execution.
  • Evaluate product catalogs and factory design, manufacturing, and testing capabilities.

Requirements

  • Experience with electrical design involving power, filtering, logic, software or firmware, and production constraints.
  • Proficiency in a standard programming language such as Python, C#, C++, or Java.
  • Experience with electrical schematic layout, component selection, and simulation.
  • Hands-on debugging skills using oscilloscopes, multimeters, and logic analyzers.
  • Practical experience building, testing, and troubleshooting real-world hardware, with the ability to work independently and take ownership.
  • Must be a U.S. person as defined by ITAR, including a U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or protected person.

Nice to have

  • Familiarity with DO-160, MIL-STD, or other qualification and certification frameworks.
