Assistant Critical Facilities Manager (Data Center)

Location: Onsite in Dalton, Georgia, United States. Full-time shifts may vary, with on-call support and 24/7 emergency response, including onsite response outside scheduled shifts. Occasional travel between data centers may be required.

What you will do

• Assist with daily operations and maintenance of critical and non-critical data center infrastructure, equipment, and systems.
• Build and manage a team of Critical Facilities Technicians, engineers, and contractors supporting 100% availability and customer safety.
• Manage power, cooling capacity, environmental conditions, maintenance schedules, work assignments, and vendor activities.
• Resolve electrical, mechanical, and fire protection system issues while communicating risks to management and customers.
• Coordinate data center construction and commissioning, including the transition from construction to sustainable operations.
• Oversee CMMS accuracy, preventive maintenance results, operational reporting, customer SLAs, and change control activities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, technical education focused on mission-critical operations or high-performance manufacturing, relevant military experience, or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years of experience in mission-critical environments.
• 1+ year of direct management experience with non-exempt, shift-based employees.
• Experience creating and managing critical infrastructure preventive maintenance programs.
• Valid driver’s license and strong verbal, written, analytical, and decision-making skills.
• Ability to understand and train others on electrical and mechanical systems, read complex drawings and documentation, and work effectively in high-pressure environments.

• Experience establishing a new colocation data center or data hall.
