Director of Operational Planning & Value Realisation

Location: hirify.global UK; hybrid working with office attendance on Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday, and remote working on Tuesday and Friday

What you will do

• Own the commercial performance, planning, and economic contribution of Service Operations.
• Lead long-term workforce, supplier, capacity, outsourcing, AI adoption, and operational resilience strategies.
• Lead Business Analysis and develop business cases, commercial models, investment appraisals, and benefits realisation frameworks.
• Provide executive dashboards and evidence-based recommendations covering cost-to-serve, productivity, investment, workforce, and supplier performance.
• Lead Workforce Management, Business Analysis, and Supplier Management teams while building commercial decision-making capability.
• Govern operational transformation and ensure measurable financial value while maintaining or improving customer outcomes.

Requirements

• Experience leading commercial, planning, strategy, or related functions in an operational environment.
• Experience in commercial leadership, financial modelling, operational planning, workforce strategy, supplier management, business case development, investment appraisal, and benefits realisation.
• Strong analytical and numerical skills with the ability to operate confidently at executive level.
• Ability to balance customer outcomes with commercial priorities and make complex investment recommendations.
• Strong systems thinking, pragmatic judgment, and the ability to influence senior stakeholders without relying on hierarchy.

Nice to have

• Experience supporting AI-enabled operational transformation and large-scale operational change.
• Background as a Director of Business Planning, Director of Commercial Operations, Director of Operational Planning, Director of Value Realisation, Head of Operational Finance, business-unit COO, or Operations Strategy consultant.
