Electrical Engineering Manager (Aerospace)

Location: El Segundo, California, United States. All applicants must be U.S. persons under ITAR requirements.

Annual salary: $160,000–$220,000 USD

What you will do

• Lead the electrical engineering function across design, build, test, qualification, and production.
• Hire, develop, mentor, and retain electrical design and test engineers.
• Set technical standards, design review processes, engineering practices, and configuration controls.
• Provide hands-on design oversight for flight-critical hardware, including schematics, component selection, de-rating analyses, and PCBA layout.
• Lead qualification programs involving functional, environmental, and acceptance testing under DO-160, MIL-STD, and applicable standards.
• Partner with mechanical, software, build engineering, program management, business development, customers, and senior leadership to deliver integrated hardware systems.

Requirements

• Substantial electrical engineering experience with aerospace or defense hardware from concept through flight qualification and production.
• Demonstrated success leading engineering teams and developing strong technical talent.
• Deep expertise in power electronics, analog and digital circuit design, PCBA layout, component selection, and qualification testing.
• Hands-on debugging and bench-work experience in a technical leadership role.
• Familiarity with DO-160, MIL-STD-810, MIL-STD-461, and other aerospace qualification and certification frameworks.
• Must be a U.S. person under ITAR: a U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or protected person.
