Principal Software Development Engineer - Frontend

Location: Remote within the United States.

What you will do

• Lead the definition, design, architecture, implementation, and delivery of Slate software.
• Build and test system components, lead code and design reviews, and own end-to-end code quality.
• Drive system, functional, and integration testing across the software development lifecycle.
• Collaborate with UX and product teams to develop customer-focused digital experiences and applications.
• Make long-term technology trade-offs, simplify complex solutions, and guide technical decisions.
• Mentor engineers and support career development on advanced technical topics.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or equivalent professional experience.
• 12+ years of professional software development experience.
• 10+ years of programming experience with a modern language such as Java or C++.
• 10+ years of full-stack mobile development or modern web browser and service development, mainly in Java on Linux or Unix.
• 10+ years of experience designing and architecting reliable, scalable systems.
• 7+ years leading the design or architecture of new and existing systems.
