Senior Frontend Engineer (Automotive)

hirify.global is a mobility AI company and the Global Software Center of Hyundai Motor Group, developing software and AI technologies for software-defined and autonomous vehicles.

What you will do

• Design, document, and evolve public REST and Server-Sent Events APIs for a virtual vehicle platform, including OpenAPI specifications and generated partner clients.
• Develop and maintain React and TypeScript frontends for real-time vehicle dashboards, vehicle variant management, partner portals, configuration, and scenario tooling.
• Integrate 3D vehicle assets in glTF format using three.js or react-three-fiber.
• Build schema-driven developer tooling, including typed clients, runtime validation, mocks, contract tests, and generated documentation.
• Improve the resilience of streaming UI components through reconnection, backpressure, and multiplexed event handling.
• Collaborate with backend, design, and external integration partners on API reviews and technical guides.

Requirements

• 5+ years of production experience with React and TypeScript, including end-to-end type safety.
• Hands-on experience with OpenAPI 3.x specifications, validators, mocks, and client generators.
• Strong schema-first approach with tools such as Zod and JSON Schema, plus runtime validation at system boundaries.
• Working knowledge of REST, Server-Sent Events, and WebSocket protocols.
• Practical experience with browser-based 3D content using three.js or react-three-fiber, including scenes, cameras, glTF loading, and performance tuning.
• Fluent English required; a bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience is expected.

Nice to have

• Frontend integration testing with Playwright or Cypress, including visual regression workflows.
• Experience writing partner- or developer-facing technical content.
• Experience working with multi-site, multinational, and multi-contributor teams.
• Knowledge of automotive products.
