Senior Network Engineer (Palo Alto/Fortinet)

Location: Nogales, Mexico; regular visits to the Nogales plant, potentially weekly, are required. Up to 25% travel is required, with onsite engineering work at the Nogales manufacturing location.

What you will do

• Support the design, implementation, and maintenance of enterprise networks, including AWS and Azure connectivity.
• Assist with network upgrades, performance optimization, and capacity planning.
• Operate and support Palo Alto and Fortinet firewalls.
• Deploy and maintain Aruba wired and wireless network solutions.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve network issues across global environments.
• Collaborate with internal teams on project delivery and operational improvements.

Requirements

• Associate degree or technical certification in a computer-related field.
• At least 5 years of experience with networking technologies and enterprise network environments.
• Experience with routing, switching, TCP/IP, VLANs, routing protocols, VPN technologies, DNS, DHCP, and IP addressing.
• Hands-on experience with Palo Alto or Fortinet firewalls.
• Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and cross-team communication skills.
• Ability to work from the Nogales, Mexico manufacturing location as required and commute to the site regularly.

Nice to have

• Experience with AWS and Azure networking.
• Familiarity with Aruba networking technologies.
• Experience with monitoring tools such as SolarWinds.
• Basic knowledge of RADIUS, TACACS+, and 802.1X authentication protocols.
