Tier 2 Network Engineer (Cisco)

What you will do

• Own Tier 2 escalations across Cisco routing, switching, wireless, security, firewalls, and SD-WAN systems.
• Investigate and resolve complex performance, connectivity, authentication, and availability issues across the network.
• Perform root cause analysis and document troubleshooting actions, findings, and resolutions.
• Communicate directly with client IT teams and coordinate resolution work across multiple technical groups.
• Bring new environments online, including documentation and monitoring configuration, while identifying optimization opportunities and recurring risks.
• Collaborate with Service Desk, Tier 3, and infrastructure teams; mentor junior staff and improve operational procedures.

Requirements

• At least five years of practical network engineering or support experience in complex enterprise environments.
• Experience in an MSP, VAR, systems integrator, consulting, or client-facing environment.
• Strong Cisco routing and switching expertise with hands-on troubleshooting experience.
• Knowledge of BGP, OSPF, VLANs, STP, trunking, VPNs, ACLs, and TCP/IP.
• Experience with wireless and network security, plus exposure to Cisco FMC/FTD/Firepower, Cisco SD-WAN/SD-Access, or Palo Alto technologies.
• Full English fluency is required.
