Product Quality & Reliability Engineer IV (E4) (Semiconductor Equipment)

Location: Austin, Texas or Santa Clara, California, United States. Travel to supplier sites in the USA and Asia is required approximately 10% of the time. Relocation eligible.

Salary: $116,000–$159,500 per year

What you will do

• Lead multiple product quality and reliability engineering projects in a cross-functional environment.
• Apply Design for Reliability methods to new product development and complete reliability analyses.
• Plan reliability validation tests and drive 8D and failure-analysis projects through solution implementation.
• Evaluate materials, properties, design techniques, and manufacturing processes used by hirify.global and its suppliers.
• Perform FMECA, develop CRAMS test plans, and lead Part Qualification Processes at supplier sites.
• Analyze nonconformance and failure-rate data, prioritize quality and reliability projects, prepare management reports, and review Engineering Change Requests.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering preferred.
• Experience in quality and reliability engineering, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Expertise in mechanical, electrical, or systems engineering; component qualification; manufacturing quality; failure analysis; and electromechanical components.
• Knowledge of Design for Reliability methods and the ability to influence cross-functional teams on complex quality and reliability issues.
• Ability to travel to supplier sites in the USA and Asia approximately 10% of the time.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in Engineering, Statistics, Reliability, or a related field.
• Certified Quality Engineer or Certified Reliability Engineer qualification.
• Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification.
• Semiconductor capital equipment experience.
