IT Operations Engineer (AI)

Location: On-site five days per week in McLean, Virginia, or Mountain View, California, United States.

Annual base salary: $106,873–$143,724 USD for the U.S. pay range; $137,582–$170,336 USD for Mountain View, California.

What you will do

• Design, build, and maintain integrations and automations connecting IT and business systems.
• Administer, configure, and optimize core IT platforms and SaaS applications.
• Develop organization-wide scripts and automation using Python, Bash, or similar tools.
• Integrate systems through APIs and webhooks, including authentication, rate limits, retries, and error handling.
• Troubleshoot IT systems, endpoints, identity platforms, and integrations while supporting escalations.
• Improve availability, monitoring, disaster recovery, documentation, and operational processes in partnership with engineering, security, and compliance teams.

Requirements

• 3+ years of hands-on experience as an IT or systems engineer in an enterprise environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
• Strong REST/JSON API, OAuth, and webhook experience, with the ability to write code in Python, Bash, or similar.
• Experience integrating and automating SaaS platforms and business systems.
• Experience applying AI and LLM-based automation to reduce operational toil.
• Fundamentals in systems administration, corporate directory and identity, networking, endpoint management, independent work, and clear technical communication.

Nice to have

• Experience with Jamf, Intune, and macOS support at scale.
• Familiarity with workflow automation tools and version control systems.
• Experience with monitoring, observability, resilient services, and high availability.
• Relevant industry certifications.
