Senior Public Sector Lead - SLED (Quantum Computing)

Location: Remote, US; onsite or hybrid work is available from hirify.global offices in the US. Up to 50% domestic travel is required. Due to export control and government contract restrictions, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident, or lawfully admitted U.S. refugee or asylee.

Salary: $147,712–$192,621 base annually, plus bonus, equity, and benefits.

What you will do

• Execute a state, local, and education-sector engagement strategy aligned with hirify.global’s quantum computing roadmap.
• Advocate with state legislatures and executive branches to influence technology policy, funding, and incentives.
• Monitor state and local legislation to identify risks and opportunities for quantum research and deployment.
• Partner with regional sales teams to pursue procurement opportunities within state agencies and public universities.
• Build partnerships with university leadership and research departments using hirify.global quantum systems for academic innovation.
• Represent hirify.global in industry coalitions and technology and education advocacy groups while managing external consultants.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in State and Local Government Affairs, SLED Sales, or Public Policy.
• Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration, Political Science, or equivalent practical experience.
• Deep knowledge of state procurement vehicles, RFP processes, and budget cycles.
• Experience navigating relationships with state governors’ offices, CIOs, and university chancellors.
• Excellent presentation skills and the ability to explain technical value to state and local policy leaders.
• U.S. citizenship, nationality, permanent residency, or qualifying refugee/asylee status is required for applicable export control and government contract work.

• Advanced degree in Law, Public Policy, or Education Administration.
• Network within state technology councils or NASCIO.
• Experience in the semiconductor or high-performance computing industries.
