Government Relations Lead (Fintech)

Location: Hybrid in New York or San Francisco, United States

Base salary: $160,000–$215,000 per year, plus equity.

What you will do

• Build relationships with state government stakeholders and explain hirify.global’s business, legal position, and value.
• Resolve time-sensitive issues with state Departments of Labor and Revenue.
• Monitor state and federal policy changes and communicate their business impact.
• Design scalable government-relations strategies, playbooks, and operating frameworks.
• Work with Product Partnerships to improve data acquisition and prioritize state relationships.
• Identify opportunities to connect hirify.global directly with government systems and coordinate lobbyists and government consultants.

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience in government relations, public policy, or public affairs, including meaningful state or local-level work.
• Experience developing and executing state or local public-policy campaigns.
• An established network of state-level lobbyists, agency consultants, and government contacts.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills across executive, agency, and internal audiences.
• Strong judgment, comfort with ambiguity, and experience in startups or similarly fast-moving environments.
• Player-coach mindset with strong relationship-building, problem-solving, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
