Location: Greater Seattle Area; on-site. Applicants must be U.S. citizens, lawful permanent residents, protected individuals, or eligible to obtain required U.S. Department of State authorizations under ITAR.
Salary: $220,000β$272,373 annually.

What you will do
- Define the programβs analysis philosophy, factors of safety, margin policy, model fidelity requirements, and analytical clearance standards.
- Build, lead, and develop a team of structural, thermal, and CFD analysts across experience levels.
- Lead structural analysis for engines and vehicle systems, including strength, fatigue, fracture, buckling, dynamics, and life assessment.
- Lead thermal and CFD analysis for propulsion components, vehicle systems, internal flows, combustion, nozzles, aerodynamics, and fluid systems.
- Develop commercial, in-house, automated, and AI/ML-augmented analysis workflows.
- Correlate analytical predictions with test and flight data and present substantiation at PDR, CDR, TRR, and FRR milestones.
Requirements
- Bachelorβs degree in aerospace, mechanical, or a related engineering field.
- 10+ years of experience in structural, thermal, or fluid dynamics analysis for aerospace or propulsion hardware, including 5+ years managing an analysis team.
- Deep expertise in at least one analysis domain and strong working knowledge of the other two.
- Experience defining analysis methodologies, factors of safety, margin policies, and flight certification substantiation.
- Proficiency with tools such as ANSYS, Fluent, Star-CCM+, Nastran, Abaqus, Thermal Desktop, or Sinda.
- Must meet applicable ITAR eligibility requirements for U.S. space technology work.
Nice to have
- Advanced degree in aerospace, mechanical, or a related engineering field.
- Experience analyzing rocket engines or propulsion components and performing coupled thermal-structural assessments.
- Experience with model correlation campaigns using test data and quantifying residual uncertainty.
- Experience developing in-house tools, parametric solvers, or AI/ML-augmented analysis methods.
- Knowledge of fracture mechanics, damage tolerance, life management, and aerospace analysis standards.
