Salary: $140,000–$180,000 per year, plus potential stock options and/or long-term cash awards.

Company

hirify.global develops commercial space infrastructure, including pharmaceutical processing payloads, reentry capsules, heat shields, and satellite buses, in-house.

What you will do

  • Own multi-payload missions from concept through design, integration, launch, reentry, recovery, and post-flight teardown.
  • Lead the design of mechanisms, structures, thermal and fluid interfaces, and electromechanical assemblies.
  • Perform structural, thermal, and fluid analyses using hand calculations, Python or MATLAB models, and FEA as needed.
  • Build, instrument, integrate, and test prototypes and flight hardware in rigorous aerospace environments.
  • Coordinate avionics, software, thermal, systems, and integration inputs while serving as the technical interface for complex payloads.
  • Define subsystem requirements, ICDs, verification plans, documentation, and lessons-learned improvements; mentor entry-level engineers and interns.

Requirements

  • BS or BEng in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field.
  • 4+ years of experience designing, integrating, testing, and troubleshooting electromechanical hardware.
  • Strong mechanical expertise with breadth in at least one adjacent discipline, such as avionics, software, thermal, optics, or test.
  • Experience delivering hardware for rigorous environments such as aerospace, defense, medical, or automotive.
  • Ability to independently define tasks, manage schedules, deliver integrated hardware, and communicate across disciplines.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States and qualify as a U.S. person under ITAR requirements.

Nice to have

  • Full-cycle ownership of space flight hardware.
  • Experience with electromechanical actuators, sensors, thermal control hardware, or fluid control hardware.
  • Experience planning and executing vibration, TVAC, or EMI/EMC testing.
  • Customer-facing technical communication experience.
  • Active Secret or Top Secret clearance.

Culture & Benefits

  • Full-time employment with flexible PTO and 12 paid holidays.
  • Company-paid medical, dental, and vision insurance, with FSA and employer-matched HSA options.
  • Parental leave, family-building support, wellness reimbursement, and sponsored One Medical memberships.
  • 401(k) plan with a 6% immediately vested employer match, incentive equity, and cell phone reimbursement.
  • Relocation support may be available for new hires.
