Head of Billing Operations (3PL)

What you will do

• Set the multi-year strategy and organizational model for Revenue and Billing Operations across a multi-service, multi-entity 3PL platform.
• Own contract-driven billing for parcel and fulfillment services, including client-specific billing configurations and pricing structures.
• Partner with Engineering and Data teams to improve billing logic, integrations, data flows, automation, and auditability across ERP, WMS, TMS, parcel, and billing systems.
• Oversee revenue recognition, month-end close support, accruals, reconciliations, reporting, and margin analysis by customer and service line.
• Drive AI adoption and automation in billing logic, invoice processing, and exception handling.
• Lead directors and managers while strengthening leadership depth, controls, compliance, audits, sales tax processes, and cross-functional alignment.

Requirements

• 12–18 years of progressive experience in revenue operations, billing, finance, or related roles, preferably in logistics, 3PL, or high-volume transaction environments.
• Experience designing or transforming a revenue or billing function at scale and managing usage-based, contract-driven, and multi-service pricing models.
• Ability to understand data flows across ERP, WMS, TMS, billing platforms, and related systems.
• Experience partnering with Engineering or Data teams on scalable processes and automation.
• Knowledge of revenue recognition principles, including ASC 606; software revenue experience is a plus.
• Exceptional communication and influence across Finance leadership, the CFO, executive stakeholders, Sales, Legal, Customer Success, Operations, Engineering, and Data.
