Operations Manager (AI)

Location: San Francisco, United States; on-site

Salary: $130,000–$150,000 base per year, plus equity and bonus. Total compensation typically exceeds base compensation by 2–3x.

What you will do

• Manage projects and client engagements for next-generation AI data solutions.
• Lead and coordinate expert contributors across software engineering, data science, machine learning, finance, and law.
• Design dataset specifications that influence how foundation models are evaluated and improved.
• Own critical projects end-to-end, including scoping, execution, iteration, and delivery.
• Support operational initiatives across building, analysis, coordination, and execution.
• Drive work that contributes directly to client outcomes and revenue.

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience at a top-tier technology company, frontier AI lab, or quantitative trading firm.
• Background in software engineering, ML engineering, AI research, or computer science.
• Strong leadership, written communication, verbal communication, initiative, and work ethic.
• Ability to thrive in ambiguity and fast-moving, high-impact environments with minimal direction.
• Proficiency in Python and ability to write production-quality code.
• Technical experience with coding, scripting, data, AI tools, workflow automation, research, or product development.

Nice to have

• Experience with Claude Code.
• Interest in entrepreneurship and experimenting with new tools.
