TL;DR
Senior Specialist, CAE Integration (Automotive): Developing and integrating nonlinear structural CAE simulations for electric pickup trucks and rugged SUVs with an accent on crashworthiness, structural mechanics, and cross-attribute vehicle performance. Focus on building high-fidelity LS-DYNA models, correlating simulations with physical tests, developing structural countermeasures, and applying AI-driven tools to improve CAE workflows and design guidance.

Location: Charlotte, North Carolina, United States; based at the corporate headquarters with 4–5 days per week in the office. Regular in-person meetings, domestic and international travel of approximately 10%, and a valid driver's license are required.

Salary: $130,000–$160,000 annual base salary, plus eligibility for an annual performance bonus.

Company

hirify.global is developing electrified pickup trucks and rugged SUVs, including all-electric and range-extender powertrains.

What you will do

  • Perform nonlinear structural simulations with LS-DYNA for components, subsystems, and complete vehicles.
  • Analyze crash structural performance, load paths, stiffness, intrusion, and energy management.
  • Build, manage, and execute high-fidelity finite element models using ANSA, Primer, and HyperMesh.
  • Correlate CAE predictions with physical test data, support post-test reviews, and investigate root causes.
  • Develop structural countermeasures and provide data-driven recommendations to design teams.
  • Integrate CAE activities across crash, NVH, durability, thermal, aerodynamics, and vehicle dynamics, including AI/ML workflow improvements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or a related field.
  • 10+ years of structural crash CAE experience in an automotive OEM or Tier-1 supplier environment.
  • Hands-on LS-DYNA experience and proficiency with CAE preprocessing and post-processing tools such as ANSA, Primer, or HyperMesh.
  • Knowledge of global crash regulations and consumer safety protocols.
  • Strong technical documentation and communication skills.
  • Ability to work legally in the United States without employer sponsorship.

Nice to have

  • Master's degree in mechanical engineering or a related discipline.
  • Experience with BEV/REEV vehicles or frame-based vehicle architectures.
  • Experience with CAE–test correlation, DOE, robustness studies, advanced material or damage models such as GISSMO, and OEM release processes.

Culture & Benefits

  • Opportunity to build electrified vehicles and a new company from the ground up.
  • Medical, dental, vision, and income protection plans.
  • 401(k) program with employer match and immediate vesting.
  • 20 days of planned PTO, 40 hours of unplanned PTO, and 14 company or floating holidays annually.
  • Up to 16 weeks of paid parental leave, plus paid bereavement, jury duty, voting, and military leave.
