Senior Manager, System Modeling & Design Simulation (Robotics)

Location: USA, Wilmington, MA — HQ; hybrid role

Salary: $180,000–$247,500 base annually, plus benefits.

What you will do

• Define the strategy for system modeling, engineering simulation, and design optimization.
• Develop mathematical models and simulation tools for robotic systems, workflows, operational processes, and future product architectures.
• Build capabilities for throughput analysis, capacity planning, system optimization, and performance forecasting.
• Lead design-space exploration, trade-off analysis, and discrete-event simulations for next-generation products.
• Partner with architecture, controls, mechanical, and software teams to evaluate design alternatives and optimize system performance.
• Translate simulation results into recommendations influencing engineering decisions, investments, and technology roadmaps.

Requirements

• Minimum 8 years of experience in system simulation, modeling, operations research, robotics, controls, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 3 years of engineering management experience, including experience managing teams of 5–10 engineers.
• Strong background in mathematical modeling, optimization, simulation, and systems analysis.
• Experience with design trade studies, performance modeling, capacity planning, or operational simulation.
• Knowledge of discrete-event simulation, control systems, optimization techniques, statistics, and analytical methods.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills, including the ability to explain complex technical findings to executive and cross-functional audiences.
