Senior Manager, Robot Intelligence Data Efficiency (Robotics)

Location: 665 Clyde Avenue, Mountain View, California, USA; onsite office setting

Base pay range: $203,700–$305,500 USD annually, with annual bonus eligibility and benefits.

hirify.global operates the Robot Intelligence Lab, a research and development facility focused on intelligent robotic systems for manipulation, navigation, and complex reasoning.

What you will do

• Direct research and development in data-efficient learning for robotics, including simulation training, egocentric video learning, generative simulation models, real2sim2real, and teleoperation data augmentation.
• Lead engineering of pipelines for data processing, model training, and deployment across the Robot Intelligence Lab and affiliated Samsung research and product labs.
• Lead proof-of-concepts, demonstrations, prototypes, and pilot studies using robot platforms.
• Manage recruiting, technical milestones, patenting, contracts, purchasing, and team facilities.
• Produce patents and scientific papers for top-tier publications.

Requirements

• PhD in a technology or engineering discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and training.
• 7+ years of post-PhD robotics work experience.
• Deep experience with ML training, data and model management, data augmentation, multi-GPU training, model tuning, and model deployment.
• Knowledge of production robot learning pipelines and data mixtures from simulation, teleoperation, egocentric video, and third-person video.
• Strong robotics fundamentals, including locomotion, manipulation, sensor inputs, SLAM, ROS, simulation environments such as Nvidia Isaac Sim, and policy architectures.
• Experience leading teams, mentoring researchers and engineers, managing early-stage technology programs, and communicating with technical and business stakeholders.
