Sourcing Analyst (Food Procurement)

Location: New York, NY; hybrid schedule requiring 3 days per week in the office

Salary: $96,000–$102,000 per year for New York/New Jersey

What you will do

• Create pricing models and cost trackers to monitor category performance and supplier pricing.
• Analyze procurement, sales, commodity, and market data to identify trends, cost changes, margin opportunities, and commercial risks.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, internal reports, presentations, and supplier reviews.
• Manage a small food product category, including product sourcing, supplier information, pricing, lead times, and specifications.
• Support pricing negotiations and manage category COGS budgets by updating procurement tools and flagging cost changes.
• Coordinate with NPD, Technical, and Quality Assurance teams to onboard products and suppliers while maintaining accurate procurement records.

Requirements

• 0–2 years of experience in supply chain, procurement, or buying; food or FMCG internships and placements are a plus.
• Strong Excel skills, including working with data sets, formulas, and basic models.
• Interest in pricing, supplier management, and commercial decision-making.
• Excellent organization, attention to detail, and communication skills.
• Confidence working with internal teams and external suppliers.
• Proactive, curious, and eager to learn about food sourcing, cost structures, and supply chain operations.
