Staff Electrical Test Engineer (Aerospace)

What you will do

• Lead development and qualification test campaigns for safety-critical battery management systems, HV/LV power electronics, and power distribution hardware.
• Own the testing lifecycle from requirements analysis and test planning through test asset development, commissioning, execution, and reporting.
• Review Altium schematics and PCB layouts, participate in design reviews, and provide test-focused design feedback.
• Architect and deploy automated test frameworks using Python and/or LabVIEW, integrating test equipment, DAQs, and Hardware-in-the-Loop systems.
• Lead root cause analysis for complex hardware failures and coordinate systemic corrective actions with design, manufacturing, and quality engineering.
• Mentor junior and mid-level test engineers and establish team-wide testing and debugging practices.

Requirements

• BS or MS degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related engineering discipline.
• 8+ years of relevant experience in aerospace and/or automotive testing or systems integration.
• Experience designing and assembling test assets or stations from scratch for new hardware.
• Proficiency with Python and/or LabVIEW test automation, plus the ability to interpret mechanical, electrical, and software ICDs.
• Experience reading electrical schematics and PCB layouts, integrating laboratory equipment and DAQs, and working with CAN, I2C, SPI, isoSPI, and/or RS-485.
• Strong hardware debugging skills and the ability to work independently with design teams to define testing strategies.
