Senior Network Engineer (Low Latency Trading)

Salary: USD 200,000–300,000 per year, plus discretionary performance-based bonuses and benefits.

What you will do

• Design, build, manage, and monitor high-capacity, low-latency trading and research networks.
• Select network products, develop architectures, configure routing, and troubleshoot production issues.
• Enhance the performance and capacity of global trading platforms and network infrastructure.
• Collaborate with Systems, Trading Operations, and other teams on technical projects and high-level network strategy.
• Manage enterprise network capacity planning and full lifecycle projects.
• Support reliable 24/7 operations across a network spanning more than 25 countries and 100 locations.

Requirements

• 5–10 years of relevant network engineering experience, preferably in low-latency or high-frequency trading.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related IT field.
• In-depth knowledge of Layer 2 and Layer 3 protocols, including OSPF, BGP, PIM, and IGMP.
• Hands-on experience with Arista, Cisco, and other networking devices, plus Unix/Linux networking utilities.
• Experience with tcpdump, Wireshark, LAN, multicast market data, global WAN, firewalls, VPNs, and NAT.
• Strong troubleshooting, communication, documentation, collaboration, fiber-optics, cabling, and datacenter fundamentals.

Nice to have

• Experience with low-latency microwave networks or optical transmission systems such as Adva and Ciena.
• Familiarity with Ansible or Salt, Python, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, GitHub, and public cloud networking in AWS, GCP, or Azure.
