Network Specialist - Reliability

Location: Montreal or New York

Salary: Minimum base salary of $120,000 for candidates located in New York; discretionary bonuses and benefits may also apply.

What you will do

• Ensure the stability and integrity of the global trading network across regional datacenters, offices, colocation sites, and cloud providers.
• Design, implement, monitor, maintain, optimize, and document enterprise network hardware, software, and communication links.
• Deliver projects involving datacenter, WAN, office, storage, wireless, network security, monitoring, and capacity-management infrastructure.
• Upgrade and expand datacenter and campus environments, including hardware and WAN-link migrations.
• Provide multicast connectivity between colocation sites and datacenters while collaborating with internal teams and external vendors.
• Provide follow-the-sun L1 on-call escalation support and identify opportunities for automation and efficiency improvements.

Requirements

• 7–12 years of experience in network implementation and project delivery with a strong record of successful execution.
• Degree in network engineering, computer science, or a related information technology discipline.
• CCNP certification or higher; CCIE is preferred.
• Extensive knowledge of routing, switching, unicast, and multicast protocols, including OSPF, BGP, EVPN, PIM, QoS, VXLAN, and related technologies.
• Experience building datacenter and office network infrastructure with Arista or Cisco equipment.
• Strong scripting and automation experience, preferably with Python, plus network diagnostic and performance-analysis tools such as tshark, tcpdump, and Wireshark.

Nice to have

• Experience with Cisco Unified Communications and Collaboration products, voice and video systems, and voice-recording platforms.
• Experience implementing cybersecurity solutions such as Palo Alto, Fortinet, and IDS.
• Experience with AWS, GCP, or Azure network solutions.
• Experience with LANZ, SFlow, Kibana, or Prometheus monitoring.
